Michigan Moments

We took a whirlwind trip to Detroit to visit Steven and Olivia and acquaint ourselves with their new home.  We left Saturday morning and arrived shortly before 2 p.m.  We met Stevie and Olivia at Ford headquarters in Dearborn.  We arrived just in time for the last tour of the Rouge Factory that manufactures F150 trucks. I think this is the first time in years that we all sat on the same row! Reunited in Greenfield Village, MI at the Ford Museum before taking a tour of the Rouge Factory. It was really interesting, but sadly we arrived after the assembly line had shut down. We toured the facility from the catwalk and saw the phases of assembly.  We were not allowed to take pictures so I can't share.  I would love to return and see the line in motion. Loved this sculpture and sign. Riverfront! Ahoy, Canada!   Back to the Future After our walk, we drove to an old mansion calle...

Wedding Bells

Aaron and Summer got married on July 29, 2017 in the Payson Temple.  The sealing room was beautiful and the couple looked lovely.  After the post wedding pictures, we drove from Payson to American Fork for the wedding luncheon.  It was held in an old meeting house called the Northampton House.  The building was lovely and the food was delicious. The cousins sat at a table together and had a great time entertaining each other by eating M&Ms and drinking lemonade shots with the party favor shot glasses. Guests had a choice of chicken or pork, green beans, salad, mashed potatoes, and rolls.   The dessert was chocolate cake drizzled with caramel and garnished with strawberries.  Adult Proctors L-R:  LuJean, Matt, Melanie, Mike, Eric, Dave, Scott, Allen Todd is sitting at the head table to the left. Rambling Roads

June 15, 2017 Today James and Doug are in Virginia watching their cousin Colwin graduate from Westfield High School. They flew to VA last night on a direct flight to Dulles; much nicer for everyone because it's close to Janet's house.  Erin and Colwin picked them up at the airport around midnight. Today has been leisurely since the graduation didn't start until 7:30 p.m. Lisa is in Tetonia, Idaho, attending Adventures for Youth (AFY) with her cousin Gabby.  Dave and I delivered them to BYUI on Monday in a drenching rainstorm. Store AFY Camp in Tetonia. Weather the day AFY started. Then we drove to Jackson and spent one night and visited Grand Teton National Park in the rain/snow.  The Tetons were covered in clouds so we never did see them.  We stayed at a Bed & Breakfast called the Inn on the Creek. It was nice, but a little pricey. Inn on the Creek Tuesday morning we drove home via Bear Lake and stopped in Harrisville to see my pare...
